170 mph top speeds?

Nascar2...
When running at Talledaga I cannot get speeds over 170mph on the back
stretch. I've used several different set-up's off the internet and still
nothing. I qualify dead last and run dead last being lapped once or twice by
the leader. PLEASE help.
My car file settings are the same and in-line with the rest of the field.
I've checked to see if a file is missing and have replaced suspect files.

Start with the ACE setup...

1) Max out your tire pressures
2) Max out your shocks
3) Lower your spoiler all the way
4) After making the the above changes, change 4th gear so that the engine
light starts blinking about the time you get to the end of the back
straight.

Those changes will get you into the 190's - guaranteed.  It's possible to
do 195/196 in 70 degree temps (depending on the chassis you use), so
teaking beyond that is a matter of personal preference and race distance.

Good luck.

The problem is most likely your joystick calibration.
Re-calibrate without quite pushing the pedal all
the way down.  That makes sure you are getting 100%
throttle.
