nr99 frame rate counter?

by Dave Stoch » Wed, 28 Apr 1999 04:00:00

I saw in a message here that there is a frame rate counter in nr1999? I
know the original nr2 was supposed to have one, but didn't in the final
version. If there is, could someone please email me the correct key?

Thanks

Things to ponder:

If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?

Why is it called tourist season if we can't shoot at them?

Check the readme file, I don't remember off hand what you do to activate it,
I'm sure it's in the readme file for N99.

I have NR 1999 and I have not found a frame rate counter...as far as I know
it is set up like N2.  If I'm wrong please let me know.

I just took another look,  and the frame rate counter in N99 works only in
the dos version.
You would add the following variable to your NR1999.prf file.

FRAMERATE

Use to turn on framerate display (does not work for 3Dfx)
Unfortunately, there is no framerate counter available in the windows
version.

The only way is to adjust the graphics off/on at different frame rates, and
after  much trial and error determine at which framerate the particular graphic
is no longer displayed.  Not the best way, but it will work.
