DASCAR and DTRL Support

Hi everyone, Jim Oaks here, Commish of the DTRL Dirt Track Racing
League.
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
I saw the post from Don Wilshe, yesterday about Dascar looking for
Nascar 3 leagues
To join dascar. I just wanted to put my two cents in on what it is
like to work with Dascar, so that any prospective league commish's not
what they can expect and from someone who has worked with them. I
started out running servers on Nascar 3 with my ADSL connection, I had
very good success as at most times I was able to host 20-30 racers
with little to no warping. I won't say there wasn't any, but not
enough to alter thee race. I had posted a message on a Nascar 3
newsgroup about my experiences with N3.
Don Wilshe (Dascar) responded to my email asking about my connection
and general info about it. We exchanged emails abit and he asked me to
get some testing on the server end
For DTR. I jumped on the chance because, like many many of you I was
eagerly awaiting this game, so any chance I had to help out was great.
I ran a server for them a bit and started to work on some plans for a
league, when DTR came out. Don and me talked about this, and started
the ball rolling on how to get the league going. I had a base level
web page setup and we started from there. Now let me start by saying
this, I have managed people and departments in my personnel life, and
was a bit surprised at the response that a new DTR league was going to
have. I had some ideas of things that I wanted to do and expressed
them to Don, from there on out Don the staff of Dascar have helped me
build this league up, as it stands right now we have over 100 entry's
into our two late model divisions, over 40 in Modified Stock, over 30
in Stocks and over 20 in Figure 8. This has all been possible because
of Don and the staff at Dascars help. They have been able to provide
me with the following things and resources; they have been able to
help us with guidelines, rules and regulations. Many Links on very
high-profile sites to advertise our league. Graphics and Web page
assistance. Sponsorship contacts and prizes for race winners. Contacts
in the real racing world to help secure advertising, general league
coverage and real life racers to join our races.  Dascars linking to
us through their site and many other sites have helped us to have our
membership take off.
We have gone over the 6000 hit mark in just 2 weeks. I am receiving
about 10 new sign-ups per day. Dascar has many many contacts to help
you and your league. The people at Dascar are great people and are
willing to bend over backwards to help you make your league an even
better success. They have set the guidelines up, such as Nascar have
and have done a lot of leg work, so you wont have to. Some of the
sponsors they have helped bring in are Thomas-Superwheel, Aureal,
Wizard Works, Dirtscene.com and many more upcoming. If it wasn't for
Dascar my league would not be anything like it is now. I am also
helping them to beta-test new products as well now. If you are
thinking of coming on board with Dascar, you would do yourself a

see what ways they can help you. We are one big family under Dascar
and are willing to help you in anyway you would need. And just
remember, Im not writing this because I have to or something like
that, Im writing it because I have had great support from Don and the
Dascar staff and believe if you come onboard you will be as happy with
the results as I have been.
