GP2 restarts?

I was wondering if there is a way to restart a race in GP2 like there is
in ICR2. I hate spending an hour working my way through the practice and
qual sessions during a race weekend only to have to abandon the race
after crashing out on the 1st lap. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

GP2 doesn't allow you to restart the race, but I suggest you
save the game before actually starting the race. If you make
a mistake in the first few laps, just load the saved game and
try again!

There is no "Red flag" option but you can save the game after the last
qualifying session, or just before the start of the race.  Then, if
something happens, you will be able to restart.
