Same feelings here, Sierra/Papyrus. I would like to thank
you for providing us with this demo. Looks very promising and I'm sure
once all the features and tracks are out in the finished product it
will be at the very top of the sim racing software! My current concern
is the 'glittering' and 'thin-frame' effect of the cars also. IMO, it
gives a "cheap" effect to otherwise improved graphics. Is this part of
the graphic card woes some are experiencing whereas the Rendition-v
chip cards may clear this up along with improving framerate even
further? My card is the somewhat lowly S3-Trio64 with 1meg on
motherboard. (came with computer). System is Pentium 100 w/ 32meg Ram.
Also curious if the cars will get drivers... ;) . Another
observation brought up earlier is the Skid/Paint Marks On/Off feature.
I re-read the readme but didn't see anything there indicating this
feature being disabled in the demo but when I toggle the (9) key as in
Nascar, I don't get any slashes.
Yet another ?,,, Adam, I hope you're reading this ;) . It has
been mentioned before but I'm not sure of the exact source so could
you confirm if a "lower-end" pentium such as P75, P90, P100 will find
a better framerate/graphic boost in Nascar2 with the new Rendition
chip cards or would a Processor (overdrive) boost be more of a gain?
Thanks again for the demo and any additional info you can
provide on Nascar2 !
Oops.. almost forgot to add a couple last minute wishes for
Nascar2.
(1) Car debris and/or oil, ect... on track. -Make this a toggle-
(2) Wrecked/disabled cars don't just disappear from track so
quick ... Make us 'dodge' the cleanup effort for a couple laps on the
bad ones... ;).
Thats all for now,
Ron
