Just got back from one of those great Bahaman cruises. Guess
what I saw aboard ship, Sega Indy 500 arcade game. So not
only is Sega Tying up Daytona but Indy as well.

You are both correct.
Sega does have an Indy 500, Daytona, and Touring Car arcade games.
Sega Touring Car Championship (STCC) is the most recent of those titles
released in the arcades, but typically Sega the feedback and car control
is flawed and unrealistic.
STCC features models by Alfa Romeo, Opel Calibra, Mercedes Benz from the
German DTM C1 Touring Car Championship, as well as a Toyota Celica (I
presume to please Japanese gamers).
Sega's latest Motorsport Arcade Title is Super GT.
This game apparently features GT1 cars like McLaren F1, Porsche, etc.
The best Motorsport Arcade Game that I've played is Namco's Ace Driver.
This game is linkable to a total of eight drivers and is the closest
thing in the Arcades to the real thing.
It is based on Indy Car type racing cars.
Great weight and feedback in the steering, all the cars handle
differently, typical car traits like spinning on grass or locking the
rear wheels when braking and downshifting too quickly, reacts to
throttle input, realistic car reactions to your input (ie -if you Saw at
the wheel you'll be wrapped in Armco in no time).
Ace Driver has a sequel called Ace Driver 2 (AD2).
AD2 includes two more circuits and Championship Series Mode.
Check it out!!
