Ok, I'm sure there has been a thread somewhere at sometime, but I'd
like to know current opinions on Kali.  Is it worth tryign to race N2
on is my main question.  But I'd also like to know how many can race,
and I'm assuming TEN is better?  Let me know please!

My machine is ====>
233mmx
Monster 3Dfx
4mb primary video card
33.6 modem
64 megs of ram

Thanks in advance

Not worth it. 2 cars can't even race on Kali stable.
Ten is awesome when compared to any other option.

N2 on kali is great! I have had success hosting a race with 4 people.
I am connected with a 56k diamond 56i modem using flex technology. The
quality of each race depends on your pings to the other racers. I
would not recommend racing against anyone over 600, and for a high
quality race nothing over 400. I live in Vermont and have successfully
raced against people in Seattle, Florida, Texas, Ohio, you get the
picture. I hosted a race with someone in Ohio who had a cable modem
and our pings were around 300! Pings in that range give excellent
results. If you have a good connection to the internet I strongly
recommend using kali to race N2. Another strong point is the number of
racers you are likely to meet and the leagues that are now forming. It
is action that shouldn't be missed!

When on TEN, i don't even enter a race with only 4 guys(boring).if it's not
over 10 drivers i don't bother.

Kali is great for racing N2. Ten has a regular series but the cost of
using TEN does not make it worthwhile. I race on Kali occasionally, and
have always enjoyed it. The best place to go is Where to Race. You can
find it in your Kali sites window on the Kali terminal. Good Luck.

I ran a race on Kali the other night for the first time since TEN
went online with NROS.  All I can say is that NROS has made it
impossible
for me to ever enjoy Kali again.  Despite all the problems with NROS
right now, it's a 1000% improvement over Kali - and well worth the
$20 a month it costs.

I've spent more time using Kali with N2 than just about anybody
(including
Jim Moore :)  ).  It's worth doing if you don't have access to something
better, or if you just want to get a taste of online racing to see if
you like it.  The problem is that for the money you spend registering
Kali, you could just about pay for a month of NROS - and get a lot
more enjoyment from it.

Your machine is fine.  Kali doesn't require a lot of
extra resources beyond the needs of the game you use
it with.

Either way - have fun!

I thought I read somewhere that Kali doesn't run thru AOL.  Does anyone know?
I am currently with AOL but would like to play online.  Any info is
appreciated.
