% After not using Nascar for a long time, I get the following message:
% Dos/4GW Proffessional Protection RunTime Copy Right (c) Rational Systems, Inc.
% 1990-1994 Dos/4GW Proffessional Fatal Error(1307) not enough memory
% What might be causing this, nothing was changed on the system that I know about.
This may not apply to your situation, but I have noticed that on
occasion DOS/4GW gives out errors that don't really apply to what is
really happening. Make sure you don't have any "empty" TRACK
sub-directories. Make sure you don't have any "empty" CARS
sub-directories. Those that you do have make sure they have the proper
set of data files need for that sub-directory.
Also double check your config.sys & autoexec.bat files for any new
programs loaded that may be eating memory. When I compressed a drive
with Win95's disk compression this ate up too much memory and I had to
create a special boot disk to run some extended DOS programs.
