GP2 tracks won't load - HELP

I just got the game in New Zealand. I loaded it on my Compaq P75 (16Mb
RAM) machine at work and it runs fine. But....

When I installed at home on my Intel P120 (32Mb RAM) with AWE32
Soundcard, I have had all sorts of problems. To start with, setup
refuses to acknowledge that I have a soundblaster card.

The game installed VERY slowly and although I can run all the menu and
options screens, when I go to load a track, the machine siezes up. The
only way to get out of the program is to turn the machine off (after
waiting 15 minutes just in case!).

Has anyone else had this problem?

Anyone have suggestions as to how to fix it?

i got the SB AWE32 and i have no trouble with the game

Hmm sounds like and interrupt or dma problem, be aware that in the sound
setup with my Sound Blaster16, when it asked for the DMA I gave it a 1
which is my low DMA, but the sound would not work, when I gave it a DMA of
5 which is the high DMA on my SB16, the sound worked fine, I am not sure
if that is your problem but you might give it a try.
