I dug out some old black and white photos I took at Brands back in 1968 at
the BOAC 500 to compare them. No armco mind you :0) Noonan has done an
awesome job. I offered to scan them and send them to him as unintentionally
at the time I have got some great angles looking down the main straight.
Most angles of Paddock bend and a couple from South Bank. Driving round
South Bank I looked left to see if I could see myself but I wasn't there.
Must have gone for a Hot Dog or something.

The one thing that stands out as being missing from the track is South Bank.
All the cars parked there, hooting their horns at the winners really add to
the atmosphere of Brands.

Before anyone flames me for this, I know I should be greatful for the time
and effort Dave Noonan has put into this, and I am. The track is COOL. All
I'm saying is, if Dave wants to develop the track further, a real South Bank
would be nice.

BTW, if you want to see F1 cars racing at Brands before 2002, the FIA
International Historic Superprix is there on July 3-4 this year.
Thoroughbred Formula 1 cars are the main event. Last year Gilles
Villeneuve's old Ferrari, a couple of Mansell's Lotuses (Loti?), a few
Williams and many more old F1 cars were there. It's a cool weekend.
