You broke two of Mitch/Allan Mayer's rules.

1. You had an opinion which ran contrary to his.

2. You are not one of his clones.

Like I said, YOU and 3-4 others refused to run anything but NR2003.  3-4 of
us wanted to migrate to GTR for a short time till rFactor was ready.   So I
went overboard on the "you led" statement but you were quite loud about it
nonetheless and you still are about NR2003.  For that I apologize.

Yea I was pissed because I saw a few guys that had a slim majority deciding
RASCARs fate/downfall (as I predicted).  And most importantly for me was
Fredrickson and his blatant wrecking me numerous times and as a group (just
like the UN) we were unable to gather enough balls to kick the little puke
out as he should have been.  And just like the UN, appea***t was the name
of the new RASCAR and that did***me off after the time and effort I went
through for RASCAR so you could race.  As you only showed up to race I guess
you wouldn't understand that aspect.

The only people Im not still friends with is pretty much David Fischer
(mostly because he's a tinfoil hat wearing peta screaming liberal than
anything else) and I think Uwe and his MS rantings is po'd at me and lets
not forget Fredrickson and all of his many aliases (timmy thompson this week
I guess). Tim White had issues from the original breakup but really who
cares.  Im not in a fn popularity contest here.  Im here because I enjoy
simracing and after 10 years frequenting this NG Im not going anywhere
anytime soon, even if you larry KF me :)

I just havent the patience for your Starforce induced paranoia and refresh
rate ignorance and tell you as much, does that mean I dislike you as a
person?  No. :) Interpret that as a mood swing if you want but its an
incorrect assumption. That and you wrecking me at Dega outta the lead w/2 to
go :)  Take it for what its worth but I havent changed.

What exactly have I "brought on" to myself again?  I race daily without
issue.

Trev, youre a trip.  You must be Freddy's brother.  Not sure who this person
is or if this person exists anywhere but your drug induced imagination but
really you make yourself look even more foolish than usual with this
particular OCD.

If you could make any kind of valid argument about anything then support
that argument with reason then perhaps your opinion would actually mean
something more than the steaming pile it currently is...

Why would I want a clone again?  Amuse me with your wild imagination :)
Never mind its not "amusing" as much as its "annoying"...

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt - sorry, that's the wrong answer.

A democracy, IN ALL CASES, is "a complete and absolute failure".

democracy is what you have when you have no leadership?">

GT L has arrived.  Can't wait to get home and try it tonight.  Been
looking at some screen shots and it looks gorgeous.  Am I going to be
disappointed when I load it up on my PC, which is an AMD Athlon
XP3000+, 1Gb  memory,  with an AGP ATI X850 with 256Mb.

Fingers crossed....

That PC setup should do just fine for GTL.  I run it on an oc'd AMD
Athlon XP2500+,  1Gb, with an AGP Geforce 6800GT 25gmb (pretty similar
to your setup) and it looks/plays just fine.

You say GPL was a great sim. With all the addons and decent online code to
me it is by far the best on-line sim. The majority of the people that drive
GPL on-line in leagues are very courteous and are there to race not with
their only goal being winning. The wreckers and people who would punt
anybody just to win seem to be gone.
Maybe GPL isn't the best sim out there anymore but it still has the best ai
if you wish to race off-line and still has a lot of interest in the
community and to me and quite a few others it still is the best sim out
there. Guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. It also has by far the
greatest variety of tracks.

Thats your opinion and youre entitled to it :)

GPL will always be king IMO (yes the AI is terrific).  Its just that the
king has retired, from my perspective anyway :)  Some of your argument falls
flat though.  6-7 months after GPL was released we didnt have the number of
tracks you reference.  As far a courteous drivers go you must also be
referencing a selective time-frame.  When GPL was first released you couldnt
find a decent online race because most couldnt turn a clean lap.  As Vroc
evolved and familiarity with the sim became common then yes courteous
drivers were the rule not the exception.

rFactor is now King but GTR2 gives it a good run.

Go clean off those "rose colored glasses" :)
