Now available:  NASTRACK.EXE

If you have more than 30 tracks for NASCAR1 or NASCAR2 then the game will
lock up or crash when trying to run.  NASTRACK allows the user to easily
move tracks between 2 directories just by clicking on them.  This makes
running NASCAR or NASCAR2 possible with more than 30 tracks.  Includes
reminder messages about having too many tracks available so you won't
forget.

Search for NASTRACK.ZIP in the Games section.

PS - It also works with ICR1 and ICR2, but ICR1 doesn't have extra tracks
and if you have ICR2 then you should get the Crew Chief package which
includes this utility along with many others.  The ICR2 Crew Chief package

 I didn't find it myself when I search the game section like was
suggested.

 But when I went to the ADVANCED SEARCH OPTIONS area and
did a exact filename search, I did find it and now have it. I have now
it but have not checked it out. After getting the file, I went back
and search the game section for nastrack.zip agian, it could not be
found agian.

I'm very sorry for announcing this too early.  Normally, this site clears
files within 4 hours.  I uploaded it Friday afternoon.  I then waited 8
hours before posting this thread.  Of course, the site did not clear the
file for 3 days.  In fact, no files were cleared for 3 days.

The file is now available.  Search in GAMES for NASTRACK.ZIP.  I checked
it myself and it is there.

Hey, Murphy's Law!!  I normally don't post these messages until the file
DOES clear, but I trusted them this time.  ;)  Lesson learned.

I guess another alternative would be to list all files and scroll down to
it.

Once again, sorry for the premature post.

I think this site is having problems.  It will not find this file if you
try to search in Games or any other place.

The correct way to find it is as stated above:

Select Advanced Search Options
Select Exact file name option
Search for NASTRACK.ZIP

For some reason it will list the file 3 times.  I only uploaded it once.

You can then download it from there.  Sorry for all of this fuss.  Geez,
maybe it's time to get my own web page instead of borrowing everybody
elses.  :)

 I personally hate to install anything without any kind of docs that
gives you at least an idea as to what the utility does, where to
install it, etc...

I found it using Find File in advanced search.

Well, no docs to speak of.  I used the "error" reporting and "help" button
for those (ie the errors will tell you where to install it).

Here is a quick and dirty manual:

Install it in NASCAR or NASCAR2 directory

Start it.  First time it starts, it makes the "UNSCHDLD" directory after
asking you if you want to make it (hmm, second thought here - maybe I
should have just made it instead of asking).

Click on a track to either "schedule" or "unschedule" it.

Use the Update button to move the tracks.

Exit the program.

There are "reminder" messages if you have over 25 tracks (for modem
users) or over 30 tracks (NASCAR will crash).  It will also remind you if
you did not hit Update.

You can have many sub-directories within the track directory, but you can
not have any sub-sub-directories.

Ex of sub-directory:     ATLANTA\SUB1

Ex of sub-sub-directory  ATLANTA\SUB1\SUBSUB1

That's pretty much it.
