Recommended specs for Rally 2000...

I'm running it on

Dell Dimension PII, 333 MHz
128 MB RAM
2 Diamond 12MB Voodoo2 cards running in SLI mode
Diamond Monster MX300 sound card

I run 1024x768 in driver view with no on-screen aids, and sound at
"High, Enhanced". Most of the time I get smooth animation but I get the
occasional jitter. Unlike other driving games, the jitter doesn't seem
to affect the driveability. Bonnet view is very smooth but doesn't fee
right to me - I like to be "in" the card. So I substitute that for high
frame rates.

Strangely, dropping to 800x600 didn't improve the perceived frame rate.

Hello,
I have had the luxury to try this on three systems:
At home:
P2-450
320 Megs of RAM
Creative Banshee Blaster
ACT LABS Force RS with RS Shifter (of course)
I have all the eye candy cranked up and play at 1024.  It is a bit
choppy in some parts.  When I play at 800x600, it is not bad, but
still not silky smooth.  By process of elimination, I would have to
say it is my video card that is the bottleneck.

Work:
Celeron 433
64 megs of RAM
Matrox G400 Dual Head
ACT LABS Force RS with RS Shifter (of course)
With all the eye-candy cranked, I can play smoothly at 1024.

Work #2:
Celeron 400
64 Megs of RAM
Diamond Viper 770 TNT2 Ultra
ACT LABS Force RS with RS Shifter (of course)
With all the eye candy turned up, I can play at 1024x768.

I would conclude that in order to play it "pretty," you will need at
least a Celeron 400 and a TNT2.  I would suggest at least 128 Megs of
RAM although it seems to run alright on 64.
