Ok, I know this is way OT but can anybody answer this?

How do I get Outlook Express to download all the message in a thread so I
can read them all offline later (at the moment I have to click each one over
and over).

Tools - Mark for Offline - Download all messages later
Tools - Synchronize Newsgroup - Get messages marked for download

Also, if you want to download all new messages in the group to read offline
later.
Right click on the rec.autos.simulators group in the left panel. Select
synchronisation settings to new messages only.
Before you open the newsgroup iclick on "tools" in the top bar, then
"synchronise all", (If you open the newsgroup first it will get the new
headers only) then open the newsgroup.
