Hello all GP2 FAN,here's a little survey i would like to conduct.
I will ask you to give me your CPU speed,and please use same setup as
what i have done.

1-GRAPHIC DETAIL:TRACKSIDE OBJECT ON MEDIUM LEVEL
2-USE AS MANY OTHER DETAIL AS YOU WISH (more on this later)
3-TRY TO KEEP FRAME RATE (actual) between 13.2 - 23.2
4-CHOOSE VIEW MODE ONLY (don't drive yourself)

Now,i'll tell you what i have done (what i want you to do),i have chose
different tracks (6),with the graphic menu, i have chose some details to
keep ESTIMATE FRAME RATE as high as possible(DON'T GO HIGHER than >25),
and (VERY IMPORTANT) chose FRAME RATE lower than ESTIMATE. So the trick
is to try to keep PROCESSOR OCCUPANCY (on a given track) close to 100%
(average on 1 lap).

So the question is how lower your FRAME RATE level is compared to
ESTIMATE FRAME RATE ie (ex:ESTIMATE 25.1, what i actually use 21.3 so
it's 2 LEVEL LOWER than ESTIMATE (25.1, 23.2, 21.3, 19.6 etc...))
to keep PROCCESSOR OCCUPANCY close to 100% when viewing a driver
in PRACTICE MODE on a GIVEN TRACK.

note:to know how it's 100% (average) use a stopwatch and measure ACTUAL
TIME VS ESTIMATE TIME (by GP2 CHRONO),when BOTH TIME are EQUAL you're
at 100 % P/O (see my previous post GP2->real time)

Montreal (Canada) TRACKSIDE ON, MEDIUM DETAIL
FRAME RATE (actual) 3 LEVEL lower than ESTIMATE

Adelaide (Austalia) TRACKSIDE ON,MEDIUM DETAIL
FRAME RATE (actual) 5 LEVEL lower than ESTIMATE

Suzuka (Japan)     TRACKSIDE ON,MEDIUM DETAIL
FRAME RATE (actual) 4 LEVEL lower than ESTIMATE

Monaco (Monaco)    TRACKSIDE ON,MEDIUM DETAIL
FRAME RATE (actual) 9 LEVEL lower than ESTIMATE (ouch!)

Estoril (Portugal) TRACKSIDE ON,MEDIUM DETAIL
FRAME RATE (actual) 5 LEVEL lower than ESTIMATE

Silverstone (UK)   TRACKSIDE ON,MEDIUM DETAIL
FRAME RATE (actual) 4 LEVEL lower than ESTIMATE

***** note:all other GRAPHIC DETAIL is up to your preference (as long
      as you keep P/O at = or <100%) but i will ask you not to choose
      SKY,SMOKE,HILLS. Up to you for SVGA or VGA mode (again F/R as as
      possible please).

My own pc is 486dx4 (i'm going for P166 next weekend),thanks for all

************************************************************************One more Question,have you found a difference between VIEWING ONLY and
ACTUAL PRACTICE in terms FRAME RATE vs ESTIMATE FRAME RATE, my own slow
pc (not for long) gives me a LOWER LEVEL of minus 1-2 (actual practice)
compared to viewing only.
