Thrustmaster T2 with Nascar2

I have a new T2 and Nascar2.  I can't get the steering wheel or pedals
to calibrate under options.  I can get the game to play with keyboard
command.  I'm connected thru the SB16 joystick connection.  I obtained
the Thrustmaster Pro Panel  and everything works fine there.  What's
wrong.  I have a P-5 200mmx with Cirrus 4mg video.  I've tried to do
this in both dos modes and I get an error that:

"Unable to get VxD address

RN1 Error: Could not initialize board
Rendition error description:  Failed to load SPD3D.UC
Unable to initialize video (maybe no VESA driver?)"

The video looks good and the game sounds good in Win95 with keyboard
commands.
I just can't get the wheel and footpedals to work.

Do I need a special gamecard for this?
Is SB16 the problem?
Is video really a problem?

A couple of problems here.  The easiest one is that you are attempting
to run the Rendition version of NASCAR2.  That is the meaning of the
following error messages.  You need a Verite chip based video card to
run N2 in Rendition mode.

Now for the harder problem.  First make sure you calibrate both
joysticks in N2 controller options screen before you attempt to select
your contoller options.  If this doesn't work delete the following files
from your NASCAR2 directory:
calib.val
controls.cfg

Start up N2 again and then calibrate both joysticks and then select your
controlling devices.  This should get you working in DOS.  If you still
have trouble in Win95, make sure that your gameport is assigned the I/O
address of 201-201 (via the control panel ->  system -> device
manager).

I feel stupid but I've got it now.  I applied the patch from Sierra for
OSR2(WIN95 version 2).  Then I went to Thrustmaster and reread the T2
setup.  I hadn't done the (3) thing under joystick (1) first.  After
turning the wheel, pumping the accelerator and brake three times under
joystick-all the wheel and pedal setups rolled as I expected them to.
Pretty poor software and instruction encloseres for Thrustmaster and
Sierra.  (Are you guys monitoring-most people would have returned
both!!!!)  Why don't you collaberate intead of having a
site(Thrustmaster) who's shtml was out of whack Christmas morning????

I still love it tho!!!!!
