Leadfoot update: Track editor

SODA fans rejoice -- the Leadfoot alpha version DOES contain a track
editor, and this will also be in the final retail version.  Ratbag is
still working the bugs out, and the system requirements for the track
editor are HIGHER than the system specs for the game itself, but all in
all, this is a MAJOR deal for the sim racing genre in general.  If
Ratbag keeps moving the bar up AND also keeps making *** games
that are also appealing to the masses, we may see a sim racing
revolution on the horizon.

John, I just had one....
But seriously... With Leadfoot being based on DTR, would one be able to
create a track in Leadfoot and import/convert it to DTR or Sprints/DTR 2
(whatever it is called?)

Leadfoot update: Track editor

Hi John,
I was never a fan of DTR, but if leadfoot is indeed coming with a track
editor, then it will be hard to ignore it.
My expectations for this release just soared a whole heap more. :)

Cheers,
Ron

I'm not sure how compatible the Leadfoot game engine will be with the
DTR game engine -- it's definitely an evolution, and there could be
some backwards-compatibility, but I can't say for sure at this point in
time.  I'll keep you posted!

P.S. Are you mocking me? <G>
