I have to agree, I've owned quite a few wheel and pedal set-ups (I
currently have three different ones?) and so far the F1 Sim is by far
the *best*, it simply has the nest *FEEL* to it, and the behind the
wheel paddle gear levers are awesome, no neet to take your hands off
the wheel at all now?
I also agree that the quick release mechanism is brilliant, as you
say it takes just a few seconds to either connect or disconnect the
wheel and steering column from your desk, and when its not connected,
you can use your desk as normal, without the hassle of clamps, or
base boards etc.
The *only* slight problem I have with mine is the self centering
device, sometimes it doesn't re-centre properly, so when the wheel is
dead straight, the car is slightly off line and driving slightly left
or right, but hey, I normally don't actually look at the wheel while
I'm driving, so I adjust the cars line without even looking.
BTW, The makers of the F1 Sim (Ballracing Developments Ltd - formerly
Interactive Racing) now have an upgrade to the steering device as
they too are aware of the re-centering problem, so even this minor
glitch can be fixed.
