Did you try the patch? I remembered out of the box it had races where
every car would retire and the only way to get any improvements on the
car was to steal them from someone else :) Plus of course the fact
that testing sessions usually consisted of running 3 laps with one
car.

I actually liked GPM 1 and 2. They weren't perfect but still much better
than Ascaron's games. I fondly remember the days of 10 successive drivers
and constructors titles with Jos Verstappen in my Simtek team :)
