You need to open it up and clean the pots. Go to radio shack and get some
tuner cleaner, comes in a high pressure spray can. For the pedals, if I
recall, you can remove the two small plates on the bottom to get access to
their pots. Spray a short burst of the tuner cleaner in each of them, then
rotate them a few times by moving the pedals.
Then, do the same to the steering pot, remove the top cover from the T2,
spray the pot, and crank the steering a few times left and right.
Eventually, those pots go bad, and you need to replace them. You should be
able to order them from the TM website, I would go ahead and get a set to
have as spares.

Thrustmaster T2 question

by Alex » Sat, 20 May 2000 04:00:00

My old T2 wheel has developed the following problem: sometimes
calibration center moves during the game that causes the car
to pull to one side. If I go and recalibrate the wheel I get
different results (I mean center position). For some time
everything works fine but then center moves and I have to
do recalibration again or struggle with the bad handling car.

Has anybody experienced the same problem and how one can fix it?
I am using T2 connected to my sound blaster card and I run Win95.

Thanks in advance,
Alex.
