Easy cautions

I think that in the next patch for Nascar Racing they need to make it a little
harder to et a yellow flag.  Sometimes, while racing, I will just barely tap
someone's bumper, not even causing a dent, and a yellow flag will come out.
I've seen spins on TV that don't even get a caution.  I'd like to be a little
more aggressive in my driving habits but those yellow's keep me driving
defensively.

I agree completely.  I've had this happen several times, particularly at
Bristol, Watkins Glen, and Atlanta.  It's really a pain.

I just sent a couple of replays to Papyrus on this very subject.  I
asked them very nicely to please correct this.  Heck, that's one of the
reasons I looked forward to NASCAR (over IndyCar), I wanted to get out
there and mix it up....

Since this is part of the AI engine, it may not be possible to
'fix.'  I too have had similar problems in ICR where the yellow comes out
BEFORE a car hits the wall.  This is not how it really happens.  Fixing
is all relavent to the coding.

Is this ever my *biggest* complaint with Nascar Racing!  Try racing the
small tracks like Martinsville, and thee newly added Richmond and N.
Wilkesboro.  The cautions fly so quick it'll make your head spin.  This
is easily the most frustrating thing about the sim.  When I mentioned
this to Papyrus they were like "yeah, we have no intentions of changing
that, cautions are thrown when damage is caused to the comp. controlled
cars".  My though was like, what!  What the hell does damage have to do
with cautions?  But they seem to think its fine.  If you don't, try

point this out they will see that a change needs to be made.  It does.

The same thing could definately be done with ICR.  I have been racing
and just tapped another car from behind.  The computer car that I bumped
kept going straight but was listed as crash.  I know its easy to wreck a
suspension, but it seems that in ICR a slight bump from behind can
easily put a car out.
