Would Graham Hill shout out loud "SAVE, i'm tired and wan't to have some
sleep!" ? Probably not, so there is no save option. You can save the
qualifying result.

There is a pause-option though, and it is quite handy if someone is at the
door or something, but expect to loose all the concentration and rhythm you
have built up during the race.

Well , I think Graham Hill also never had the  shift-R option  to fix  his
car immediately after a crash or a failure.Nor had he the chance to use
shift, throttle or braking helps, had he?Maybe he would have preferred to use
a keyboard for driving, isn't it?Then he could press enter while driving,
and type, "come on Jim, Let me pass and win just one!!!!"
Although you can hardly admmit ,GPL is just a game...and as a game it had to
have a Savegame option for those who wanted to use it.And those like you
could still never touch it, for your sacred realism...
