ANNOUNCEMENT: From Nosferatu

by Nosfera » Fri, 06 Feb 1998 04:00:00

Due to popular demand I have given much thought to this news group and
have decided that forthwith I am only going to monitor this group with
a passing interest. Yes, that means no more posts from me in this
group. Papyrus has finally given out the information I desired so the
mission has been accomplished. I thank you all for your kind comments
and patience, but alas, all good things must come to an end so with
this I bid you all a fond farewell. Just don't start posting
derogatory comments about me or I shall speedily return and defend my
honor with passion. As a last note, please try to lighten up.

>Who gives a ***

I hope you didn't violate your TOS with that. Spencer may bust you
for it :-)

FWIW, NOS is actually one of the good guys in the flightsim NG.
I think what set him off of the public display from John Wallace
proclaiming in a righteous manner (in my opinion anyway) that
he killfiled NOS. I really have not ever seen NOS (I think it is a he)
like this.

The snobbish twits of this group give a ***, that's who. I'm just
trying to do them a favour by not being a presence here, but until I
receive a little more courtesy from ***s like you, I will stay.

No, I think I kill filed him first. What set me off was that I simply
came on here and asked what's up with Papyrus and the 3DFX patch.
Next thing I know I have these Papy brown nosers swarming over me like
buzzards on carrion. I took exception to that and they have seen
nothing but my bad side since. And so it shall remain. They will get
nothing but derision from me because they deserve no better.

You'll never know. :-)

Ouch! You sure know where to hit when a guys down. :-(
Are you equating children with fools? I'm sure children the world over
would be highly impressed with your sardonic wit. Unfortunately, I
find people who resort to cliche's and quotes rather insidious. What's
the matter, you too stupid to make up your own one liners or what?

In response to the above:-1) No...Im not associating fools with children.
That analogy doesn't exist.
2) I thank you for considering me to be insidious.  Something I've always
wanted.
3) Why make up my own one-liners when there are so many excellent ones
available?

Self-righteous? Moi?! :-) Perhaps, but really there's only so much
foul-mouthed abuse anyone can be bothered listening to before changing
channels, or, in usenet parlance, resorting to the kill file. If NOS
hadn't been abusive and childish in his dealings with others there
would be nothing to complain about. That was the starting point in any
case. It's a shame, since IMO he's also a sharp guy, but how to
discuss anything with someone who begins messages by calling the
addressee "dickwad" (or whatever)?

If he's able to conduct conversations in a civilised manner then I'd
be happy to remove the kill-file, but I don't see why I should have to
look through a bunch of abusive nonsense just to protect Nos'
feelings, especially when he pays no mind to anyone else.

Cheers!
John
