1:28.12!! One minute, twenty eight point twelve seconds!! Problay quite slow
for most of you here, but I don't care, I don't give a monkeys! I'm sooooo
happy I could weep! This is probably the best feeling I've ever had from a
racing simulation... sTimulation? I'm stimulated. What a cicuit! Those corners,
having to put all you faith in your right foot, correcting oversteer with your
hands, correcting understeer with the throttle! FANTASTIC! Ooooh good, someone
shoot me :))))))

I don't care if the world does end tomorrow as predicted by Nostradamus(sp?
probably...) at least I can say I have lived, I'm not afriad to die!! I'm
completely in awe of Grand Prix Legends. How can something that costs 30 give
me so much pleasure, so many emotions?

That's Zandvoort. I'm now going to send this message to r.a.s. re-read it and
feel very embarassed...

hehe mention the track at the beginning of the post.  I thought it was
everyone's favorite track Monza until you mentioned zandy below.  Now
hitting a mark like that at zandy is a totally different thing.  That is one
tough track.

That's quite a nice time for Zandvoort Rob... most casual gamers couldn't
even hope to achieve such a time, even if they had the odd 50 hours to
practise. ;-)

And,as I'm sure you're aware now, the time is not all that matters. You
probalby experienced suspension of disbelief, the feeling of being "at one"
with the car. No other sim even comes close to GPL when it comes to that.

I'm not one of the faster drivers myself, but that doesn't stop me enjoying
the game. Now that I'm finally coming to grips with setting up the car, I
enjoy it even more. Now if were just able to keep the more powerfull cars on
the road for longer periods at a  time, I might get somewhere.

So the world's going to end tomorrow, huh? I bet that will really***off
the people working on the Y2K problem for the past couple of years. ;-))

The world 1.1 patch? You do mean the GPL v1.1 patch?
If so, how do you know that it will be out on monday?

Yeah, my best there is 1:28.91 there in the Coventry, and while I sometimes
get the "in the zone" feeling from other circuits, I don't get it there!
I'm on an absolute knife edge there, hardly feeling in control at all, never
able to string fast laps together.  I've *never* managed to complete a fast
lap at Zandy in a faster car.  I'll tell ya when I did feel that warm fuzzy
feeling in my shorts: the one time I completed an error-free lap at the
'Ring!  8:45.xx in the Coventry!  After 8 months of trying!  Made me wonder
just where the fast guys make up 40 seconds, though..
