Which and Where? Steering Wheels

by hobbi » Fri, 16 Mar 2001 04:59:48

I've tried the Nascar Wheel, the T1, the T2, and a few others, but
settled on the CH Virtual Pilot Pro here.. I realize it's supposed to
be for flying, but the absolute control of turning with this wheel is
nothing short of perfect!   It only requires you to turn the wheel
about 30 degrees to get full steering lock, compared to nearly 3 times
that with other wheels.. It may not be as "realistic", but for lap
times, it can't be beat :)

Not only that, but the trim control comes in very handy at times, and
is within easy reach while you're driving, too!   I use the buttons on
the right to upshift and the buttons on the left to downshift.. I set
it up so I can just pull back on the wheel to get into reverse
quickly, but YMMV there!
