helmets and numbers

Hi all,

Is it possible to get the helmets and numbers sorted the right way in the
driver selection   menu? After installing the new jam files (helmets and
cars) available at Pieter's excellent web page
(http://www.racesimcentral.net/), I still get Schumacher sitting in the number
0 car and wearing Hill's helmet!

Thanks,

Ricardo

  Hi there
yeah I noticed that too.  I think that some people have painted the helmets
in 96 colours but left the drivers in the 94 positions, i.e shue = hills
helmet - Irvine = jacques helmet.

Where other peole have updated the helmets & put them in the 96 order.

Would be nice to find one in the 96 number & helmet layout

You need to load the 96cs30.ral file from gp2 saves. It is in the readme
txt file that comes with the zip file of the carset 3.0.

I assume you downloaded the 3.0 version from Pieters page??

Good luck

This doesn't change the helmets in the driver selection screen,
though... just the helmets in the actual cars. Has anyone come up with a
way to change the helmets in the selection screen?
Thanks,

No way. I did exactly like this, the new names were loaded and the new
helmets were too, but they didn't match with the drivers. I have
Shumacher's new helmet on Hakkinen or Hill, now I can't remember - and
Hill's on Shumacher (if he only knew... :-) ). I also downloaded (from
Pieter's) a different helmet set for 3.0 (hlm96jcr.zip) but that
appeared to be exactly the same. Can anybody help? Maybe the JAMs
developers themselves?

Thanks, Pody
