Despite downloading latest cars and installing them using GPLAIM I never
seem to get the 3d wheels that are shown in the screenshots. Does anyone
know why im having this problem. I have a voodoo 5 and am using D3D if thats
any help.
Thanks

Check your cars67 folder, there might be a batchfile you can use to set up
the wheels instead. Needs "choice.com" in the same directory if you're using
Win2000 or XP.

Why would you do this?  Is there some advantage to D3D?

With 3DFX  I always get could not load track which i was told was something
to do with hi res Dashes!. For some reason i also seem to get better Fps
with D3D for some reason. With regards to my original problem i have now
solved it. The reason was i had bevelled tyres turned off in graphic options
which ultimately meant i didnt get 3d wheels

Guess I got lucky, or you're running higher-res than I.
