N4 drivers - aggressiveness?

by John Wehma » Tue, 11 Sep 2001 12:53:51

Is there a way to make the drivers act a little more "human"?  I would like
them to hold their lines better, draft more intelligently and basically
drive like I see on the TV every weekend.  I have them set to 100%, but I'm
pretty sure that's just their speed.

And ideas?

Regards,

John Wehman
P.S. if this is an RTFM thing, I apologize in advance - I haven't gone
through it all yet.

Thought I'd try one more time:

Computer cars aren't people and in a $40 game they will never even be close.
That's why most of us only run online.

I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything btw, just trying to explain the
way it is.

Well if you want them to hold there line don't install the patch, they will
definatly hold there line then. LOL.
But seriously I think there's a limit to what can be done which AI on
current hardware, I don't think we will se truly human AI until 20 Gig
processors and GeForce500's are the norm.
You can try playing with each drivers stats to make them more/less
aggressive, fast etc.
or the papy_ai.ini to change lots of other stuff, but backup any files first
just in case.

Also it might be worth waiting for the new patch which should be out soon to
see what improvements this might bring.

Good luck
