  I have the same version,  It retailed at $19 US dollars during a 2 day
sale on a web-retailer's site.  But I have had no/none/zero problems
installing and running the title.  What version of direct X do you have?

Just another thing to check.  The Aopen sound card, is this a basic card?,
integrated?  Do you have full hardware acceleration in the sound
properties/control panel?
