Microsoft wheel help

I had a Microsoft force wheel, game port model connect in my old computer
thru the port on the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 gamer card.  I now have a new
computer which does not have a game port on the motherboad sound system.
Are there any options to make this work.  Xp must not support game ports is
what I am thinking.

Hi,

It does, but finding a PC with a game port on it these days is often
difficult.

I am not sure that a gameport to USB adapter would solve the problem, as
that kind of *** hardware doesn't communicate with the computer like
the simple analog joysticks for which the adapters are designed.

Your best bet is to install your SBLive card in your new computer and
either disable the on-board or soundblaster sound hardware.  XP can use
the gameport/midi port, although finding drivers for the wheel might be
tricky.

OTOH, if that fails, you have a good alibi for getting a brand new
Logitech G25.
