Car Painting... PSP5 or PSP6?

I do know that london *** sells it.  $169 I think, that's here on the west
coast (canada)
Or if you're unscrupulous and have lots of time on your hands you can scour
the web for a 'crack' to disable the time-lock.
I don't remember there being any _major_ improvements...

Car Painting... PSP5 or PSP6?

A quick question.

I downloaded the eval verion of PaintShop Pro 6.0.  The eval is about to run
out and I want to buy it.

I can't find PSP 6.0 anywhere retail here in Canada, so I was going to order
it from a Canadian sales rep.  It would cost me $169 + taxes and shipping.
I saw a copy of PSP 5.0 at my local Chapters book store for $124 + taxes.

My question.  Is version 6 so much better that I should buy it, or can I
settle for version 5.  I'm not a graphic artist.  I just like to fool around
with car painting and some web graphics.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Dean

It most likely wouldnt take very long.  Unfortunately theres lots of people who
dont mind breaking a few laws and have a wealth of programming knowledge.

I think PSP 6 is worth the extra money.  Just the improving handling of
text (an important aspect of painting cars) is so much improved over PSP5
that the money is worth it.

IMO, there are many interface improvements from PSP5 to PSP6...like the
windowshading function...very nice if you don't happen to have a 21" monitor
:)

Hmm...you're looking at a $49 CDN difference...I know it's less, but how
much does it come out to in US dollars?  I mean, (talking in a US dollar
perspective) if it was only a $20 or $25 difference, I'd go for PSP6...but
then again I already *cough*downloaded*cough* *wink*wink*nudge*nudge* have
it :D

Paintshop Pro 5 is just as good as 6. It's just been updated with a few
new items. Happy Painting.

I owned 5.0 and tried the demo for 6.0 and bought in the USA for $89 and
then got a $30 rebate on top of it.  Go for it, it is really worth it for
ease of use, more logical interface and intuitive tools
