Probs with GPLEA website...

by Rafe McAulif » Wed, 30 May 2001 17:45:40

I'm not able to access the GPLEA website through any of the links or
mirror URLs. I get a "you are not authorised..." message for some
reason. Am I missing something, has the site changed format?

Any thoughts on what's up? I haven't been there for a while, and
wanted to check what the latest updates are.

TIA

list of updates

Randy Cassidy from Papyrus has made a Grand Prix Legends CPU Speed
Fix. It fixes GPL for CPUs with 1.7 GHz and abote. Get it here in the
"Downloads" section.

Andre Streu released the Halle-Saale-Schleife, a track used in the
50s situated in the east of Germany. Get it here.

Sepang, the modern F1 track in Malaysia, is out. Bill Cooper has made
a version of this track for GPL. You can download it here.

A public beta of Paul Thurston's GEM+ (an application intended to
extend the GPL user interface) is available - now from it's own
website.

A new track is out: Road67. It is a superb road track built by Alain
Bosco. Don't hesitate, get at Alain's site.

Attention track editors: Guru has published ASE23DO, a program
designed to convert ASE (one of the ways that 3D objects can be
exported from 3DStudioMax) files to 3DO files. Check it out here.

Eric Cote has made a preview video of the upcoming track Mt.
Tremblant made by Gilles Benoit (with the help of Christian Roy and
the chief instructor of Jim Russell school). Check it out at The Pits

The URL of the forum at Legends Central has changed. The link above
is working again.

british track.

Are you intersted in the progress of our upcoming track Clermont
Ferrand? If yes, you can download a preview video kindly made by Rick
Osborn. [SMALL (9 MB) | HQ (16 MB)]

Mark Beckman has made a very good new AI for our track Snetterton
1967. Thanks a lot to him. You can download it directly from here.
Great races guaranteed! Just unzip the files to your
gpl\tracks\snett67 directory.

Glacier International, a new fun track has been released by Mark
Beckman. It is what he calls himself "the Nurburgring for average
drivers". Check it out here or here.

You can get the latest version of Bruce M. Johnson's great Lotus 49
directly here.

When I try http://start.at/KOTR or http://www.kotr.de/org/ or
http://www.gplea.org I get

You are not authorized to view this page

You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the
credentials you supplied.

I get the first screen (to choose the gpl or scgt versions) but when I
click on either link, I am told I'm not authorized!!

Very weird, maybe something to do with my ISP, but I've never had a
problem like this.

Thanks for the list of updates, now I wish I could get in!!

Very odd, I've emailed my isp and they say there's no problem. Except
for me not being able to access it still!!!

They reckon there may be some problem with cookies, but doesn't help.
So it's a no go.
