With either my Voodoo 2 SLI or TNT I can run Viper in 1024x768. Viper is
Direct3d only, with no Glide. The only requirement for any video card to run
Viper in that res is that they report at least 15.5 megs of memory to
DirectX. The only 16 meg cards I know of that can not do that are the
Banshee and Voodoo 3, as DirectX only thinks that they have 15 megs.

Right-click the Viper icon, select properties/shortcut change the target
to have -nocanary at the end.

Heres mine:

"F:\SIERRA\Viper Racing\Viper Racing.exe" -nocanary"

Ed, was there ever a command line switch to increase res to 1024x768?
I vaguely recall you posted about this ages ago. I could be wrong.

I have never found a way, but if you find one, let us know.. :)
It probably would have to do with running the sim in Direct3D
or some other way, as opposed to Glide, but I really don't know..

type -nocanary in the  target box in the shortcut properties remembering to
leave a space after the quotes and don't put it in quotes.  And before
anyone gets upset about piracy.  I think 90% of the people who want no-CD
hacks or cracks just are tired of putting the CD in just so the game can do
a CD check.  I think if people wanted to pirate something they would just
copy the CD.

Hope this helped you out,
