TT> No Contest IMHO.

Why should there be?

TT> IndyCar2 ~= Nascar2 ~= Gp2 (in no particular order)

All good in their own ways.

All pretty poor in others.

Different days, different moods, different people.....each has their
place.

Why not enjoy them for what they are.....do you REALLY need league
tables to justify things???!!!

Cheers!

Since all of the sims are different, it would be tough to say. I guess I should
categatorize them, even though some of them aren't listed. Oldies but goodies..

I have enjoyed all of them so far, currently still enjoying GP2. Right now, it's
more of a challenge to me..For example, better physics engine, more setup
options, telemetry. Sorry damage control though.. I hope this gets fixed soon!!

I can literally say, "I have mastered NASCAR, Indycar II, Indycar I,and GP1",
especially NASCAR. Currently that sim is getting to bore me.

Easiest to drive:

1) Indycar 1
2) NASCAR 1
3) GP1
4) Indycar II
5) GP2

Easiest to setup a car:

1) Indycar I
2) NASCAR 1 (takes me 10 min for a qual setup, 15-25min for a race)
     Indycar II
4) GP1
5) GP2

Realism:

1) GP2..I know I am going to hear about this one..; )
2) Indycar II
3) NASCAR
     GP I
4) Indycar I

You really can feel the power of the engine in GP2. With the Papy sims you
can't!! Reality tells me that racecars spin wheels with an abundants amounts of
torque!! All you get in the Papy sims is a little chirp..  With GP2, you could
spin practically forever..'til you get to third gear..

With GP2, you have to finesse the throttle, you can actually know it's at least
doing something. With the Papy sims, you really have to push on the gas to know
that something is there..

So the bottom line, well GP2. It's has a real feel to it than the Papy
sims..Boy, am I going to hear it..Whew!!

Switch..

I was a little disappointed about the NASCAR 2 demo. : ( I knew what to expect
from it. Adam has talked about NASCAR 2 some during the last couple of months.

I basically compare NASCAR 1 and NASCAR 2, as to M$ Win.311 to Win95. You get a
better GUI interface and some enchments, that's it.

I was really looking forward to more technical features, such as more setup
options. I love tweaking on cars, btw, I actually do that!! It gets sort of
monotonous when you have a "shock" setting to take up the place for the, shocks
and springs as such.

It's really ashame that the physics engine is the same as multi.exe. I know that
there are some "diehards" out there that have worked so *** their setups.
Now if Papy would've changed the physics engine and added more setup options,
they all would be pissed. ; ) Oh well.. I just want to feel the power of the WC
cars.. I mean 720+ HP, 560-600ft/lbs in a 3400 lb car..Geesh.. I know my lawn
motor can spin wheels longer than the Papy sims:D With GP2, that's another
story..

Sorry for being side tracked, the demo loads in "slow" in my opinion. NASCAR 1
loads in faster on my pc. BTW, I have 64MB EDO, SM DNE P6-200 (o'c'd 233),
Matrox MGA..Shall I go on?? Okay, a 530mb hd (Seagate, compressed to 960 mb),
2.1 Segate EIDE( demo on this one ), and a 3.1 WG IDE. Running Win95, NT4.0 and
Linux. Sorry no OS/2 Merlin here..But my girlfriend's got it, though.

The menus are you gorgeous though.; ) I like them. The mouse idea, I don't like.
I wish you could still you the keyboard keys to access the menus..But then
again, it's only a demo.

Frame rate, ahh..improved somewhat. Slightly better than before.

The spotter, well neat at first, but after awhile he gets quiet. I guess it's
because I am way out in front?? I am running the demo at 100 percent.
Sometimes behind..but that's a program for ya.. Sometimes I tune him out.

Layout of the tracks:,

An excellent job!!! Congrats, Adam and Ed!! ; ) Real close.

Too bad we can't catch some air on the curbs, just like in real life. Comes back
to the physics engine again. Or is 3D???

I know that the demo is just giving us a glimpse for us to see what lies ahead,
I was just hoping for a "overhaul". I know that's not going to happen now, since
NASCAR is behind this. NASCAR 3, perhaps??

I like the dash..I just sure wish if it was possible to paint and put logos onto
it. I have already made my dash white and black in NASCAR 1.

Lan support ..YES!!!

It's a shame that we are getting the leftovers from the 96 season. ; ( I was
really looking forward to something new.

Also, the demo was on my hardrive for four days..I messed with some of the
files, then deleted..That's how much I am impressed with it..; (

Papy, look at GP1..then look at GP2. They are completely different.

I am not too thrilled about the NASCAR 2 and the revised ICR2 being optimized
for the Verite. From what I have read about it, it's nothing compared to Voodoo
chipset. So I wonder, how are those sims going to play on a Voodoo??? I am not
purchasing a CL 3D Blaster PCI!! Even though it's got 4mb on the board for about
$200.

I will be buying the sim anyways..Just for the NRL client..

Well, I am getting off my chair now..

take care

Yeah, one is an over priced poor selling and badly marketed
computer and the other is a fruit! <g>

Sorry, I agree the games are different, and comparing different forms
of motor sport simulators is not really useful discussion, but let
them have their fun.

Oh, by the way I vote for all of them AND monster truck madness!
Can I vote for EF2000 here too? No? Wrong group.

BTW is anyone adding these votes up?

Jet (oranges are more fun to throw at people :)
