F1 Career Challenge

Is F1 Career Challenge the same as the "F1C" referred to often on this
forum?  I've been thinking it's about time to upgrade my copy of F12001, but
the only EA Sports game I seem to be able to find is "F1 Career Challenge,"
and somehow that title doesn't seem quite right.

Career Challenge is for the PS2 and F1C is for the PC.

F1C is the one that everyone is referring to.

When you get it grab the AussieV8 Mod. http://www.racesimcentral.net/***.com/

That's the console version of F1Challenge '99-'02 (which is refered to as
F1C here) Go to your local best buy or compusa and you should be able to
find it for pretty cheap, many people have said as low as 10 bucks.

I believe F1C is "F1 Championship".

The F1 Career Challenge 99-02 is a different version (and latest/last)

Is there a chance that the name F1 Career Challenge was also used for at
least some of the PC platform releases?  If not, then I think their info is
messed up at compUSA:

At any rate, thank you for the feedback -- it (largely) cleared things up.
And I definitely will get the Aussie V8 mod!

I can't answer your first question, but are REALLY you surprised that CompUSA
may have incorrect info?

F1 C is shorthand for F1 Challenge 99 - 02.  But being lazy nobs here
we shorten everything.  F1 Career Challenge is, as others have stated, the
Playstation 2 version.(coded by a separate development team)
There is no title called F1 Championship.

What on earth are you implying?  I'm not sure where you're from, buddy, but
where I come from, we have 100% confidence in our massive conglomerates.
And government agencies, for that matter.  So I'm shocked...SHOCKED at the
suggestion that either could be in error.

UbiSoft put out a came called F1 Championship Racing and Atari put out a
game called Grand Prix Challenge, but neither comes close to the EA Sports
line of F1 games.

Dave, uh, I have right here, before me as I type, a package called F1
Championship Season 2000 by EA Sports, marketed by Feral. Only problem
is it doesn't run on a PC. Doesn't run on PS2 either. Runs on a Mac. Not
a bad game machine; but not nearly as good as GPL and F1C with add-ons. :-)

Thanks for all your contributions.

Respectfully,

Jim
