NR2003 Lockups

NR2003 Lockups

I have a XP Pro machine with a GF2 card, SB Live card. Running 30.29 drivers
now (but have tried 40+ drivers as well). Been running NR2002 with no
problems at all. Never locked up the whole time I have run it.

I installed NR2003 this evening, and within 30 mins I have had to reboot
this PC more than the whole year I have had it.

I have tried running with various levels of  graphics options. NR2003 is the
only program I have that has managed to lock this PC up tighter than***s
hatband.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I've got similar issues, although with me it dumps me back to the desktop
with an illegal operation error. Tends to happen when there's accidents or
higher CPU use.

Never happened once in N4, 2002 etc. Maybe it's related to graphics
card....I've got a GF3-ti200. I've noticed the GF4 and Radeon guys have no
problems.

I'm trying different combo's of drivers so I'll let you know how I go.

Thanks Gene. Similar to you it seems to happen during accidents or other
significant events with me. I am running  30.82 not 30.29 as I described
below. I have tried 40.xx drivers as well with the same results.

Hi,
        I had similar problems, tried many "solutions". The one that worked for
me was lowering the cars drawn ahead to around 10. Still have some
issues with the game but at least I can get a full race or two in now  ;)

NR2003 Lockups

Well it helped quite a bit. I tried to run 4 races, got wrecked 3 times. On
the 4th race it locked up during qualifying.

Back to drawing board.
