Is NL worth getting for Riverside?

Is NL worth getting for Riverside?

From what I've read here, Riverside seems to be the Holy Grail of circuits
for the North Americans amongst us. Since I'm from England I have no idea
what all the fuss is about and have a couple of questions.

1. What makes Riverside such a great circuit?
2. Where can I find out more information about it?
3. Finally, is it worth buying NL just to use the circuit in GPL, especially
seeing as I'll have to import it from the States as Sierra have never
released it in England?

BTW I already have N3 so I don't think the acceleration pack would be money
well spent and there are no Cheerios offers here either!

Cheers

Phil

Dan Gurney and Parnelli Jones raced Trans Am Mustangs there.  The
course is really just a Large rectangle with a series of esses on the
front side, a fairly technical turn at the top then a short run to the
back straight which is looooong and fast.
Mid Ohio is probably a better "pure racecourse"

Try Ebay and pick it up for approx $9 to $19 dollars US funds.

Once again sell your N3 at Ebay and pick up the Acceleration pak.  The
updated Portland Int. Raceway is perhaps Papys finest road course
creation.(in the truck pak)

The Accelerator pack would be perfect for you

It comes with N3, NL, and the N3 Trucks
Riverside is SOOOOO  worth it.  :)

Hold on now, it's not like this is Barstow or Needles we're talking about
here.  :-)

Then I'm not the only one...  I can still see Richard Petty blasting
the esses like a straightaway, nothing but fourth gear left in his 74
Charger, front end a mass of duct tape from the base of the windshield
to the center of the hood.  Made up four of the ten laps he was down
before the transmission crapped out...  Then there's the image of him
nearly 20 years later running the bulldozer across the track at the
start/finish line, initiating the demolition of a great track.
Progress sucks sometimes...

Unless you were up in Boron, between Barstow and Mojave... <g>

Great post, Don.  I'm feeling a little wistful now...

I've got that shot, plus tons more you sent me now displayed on ETA!  Perhaps I
should finish the site, or at least something else... =)

Hey, Marc

Cool site.  My only disappointment was that the Terraserver links to the
RIR photos don't work because Teraserver's server has apparently been
relocated?
