Fixing turbo charged AI

by Tim Leighto » Sat, 13 Mar 1999 04:00:00

Hi.
There have been some posts about warped laps online which send the AI
berserk (Global Hype indeed!).
Well, it's happened to me. Someone went round the Glen in 11 seconds and now
Clark et al have found their second wind!
I didn't note down how to reset this. Someone help me please!

Delete the player.sts file in your gpl/players/yourname/ folder.  GPL will then
create a new one.  That'll calm down the crazed AI, but in the process revert
back to default level AI for ALL tracks.  Best to keep a backup of this file
before racing online, so you can go back to it in the case of warped times.
You can reset the track record by editing the record.ini file in the particular
track folder.  Your own records are in the player.ini file in the
gpl/players/yourname/ folder, if you want to use that.
