Does anyone know if they are going to put out a patch for the AI pitting and
accident problems that still occure w/ the "3.6" patch?

  At least officially, I don't think there will be anymore patches for N4.
They should be fully cranked up on developing N2k+2 and I don't think we'll
see any backwards coding.  Some folks have been able to move setups and
track.ini's between N4 and the demo but we don't know yet whether N2k+2 will
be online compatible with N4.  "IF" Papyrus is going to make the two
products compatible(and I doubt this) they will probably have to issue a
patch that matches the tracks specs of N4 with those in N2k+2.
  so the short answer, at least from my outside perspective is, there will
be no more work on N4.
