It's irrelevant. Purely a marketing decision. But wait for the demo,
try it out, and then make your decision.

Most of the beta test team are sim racers -- I don't think there was a
single tester who has NFS installed on their machine, so the testers' focus
was on realism when it came to the physics. Several beta testers were also
real-world race drivers, too, so they were also looking for realism, not a
Jeff Gordon-style "fun" arcade racer.
I think you're going to like DTR if you like dirt ovals and sim racing.
