Bruce, Just because someone can prove they have ICR does not make it
legal to
send them INDY. INDY was part of an expansion pack that was sold
separate
from ICR. This is PIRATING and is a prime example of why these designers
create HALF-ASS
sims.                     -DG

Ok, here is how I got my copy of the Indy track straight from Sierra. First I
bought ICR1 with the track pack thinking that it had the Indy track in there.
When I installed it I notice that it had all the tracks except the Indy track!
I got on the phone and called Sierra and told them that I had already bought
Nascar and the track pack and that I had bought ICR2 and now had just bought
ICR1 so I had a bunch of money tide up in their software. Then I told them
that the only reason that I bought ICR1 was to get the Indy track. they gave
me the run around about how they didn't support ICR1 because it was made by
Papyrus. I told them since the bought out Papyrus that they should support
their product. Then he told me that no where on the box did it say that it
came with the Indy track and he was right! BUT then I told him that on the
INDYCAR CIRCUITS EXPANSION PACK MANUAL on page 8 it list all the tracks and
Indy is listed as one of the tracks, so there for I got ripped off and I
wanted my Indy track that I paid for. I got put on hold for a while, while he
went to go talk to somebody else. He came on and told me that he would see
what he could and to call back in a few days. I didn't have to call back
because a few days later I got a package in the mail  and it was a brand new
box with the Indyanapolis Motor Speedway Expansion Pack! It took a lot of
arguing and yelling and screaming, but I got my track! I converted over to
Nascar and ICR2 and it looks great! Its deffenently the best looking track in
the whole series. This worked for me, but I dont guarrantee that it will work
for you!

Is this guy some kind of idiot?  And we're all gonna ask him for a copy!
That is just as bad as taking a copy from the guy next door, and still
illegal, JACK ASS!  You wonder why Papy/Sierra don't want to try to get
INDY for NCR2.  It is because people like you abuse the fact that you own a
copy or it for ICR1.  Yeah, I wanna let idiot PIRATE every game and send
them over the internet.  Yeah, that would make my humble collection of
   games UH HUM WORTHLESS.

What a load of crap.  You mean that if you bought a copy of MS Word
and the manual mentioned MS Excel or MS Office, you'd want a free copy
of that too?!?

The manual lists the correct directory names for the tracks *available*
from Papyrus (at the time the manual was printed, 2 1/2 years ago), *not*
the tracks you bought and paid for!  Take a look at the cover, it lists
the 7 tracks you bought, and does not include Indy!  Nowhere else in the
manual is Indy listed!

Congratulations, you have ripped off a good software company by being
an ***.  Credit should go to Sierra/Papyrus for trying to keep their
customers happy, but *shame* on you for trying such a BS tactic!

(Sorry for flying off the handle, but worms like this make me puke [just
one step above the pirate slime], and I really can't take it when they
come on here and *brag* about it!)

NOTE!...
I said "....and if you can't get it, and can provide proof...".
If an add-on is out of production or unobtainable elsewhere and proof of
ownership of the original can be provided (such as quoting word, line,
paragraph, page number from the manual) then "piracy" is not involved.  I
did not say that I would provide the original......which is required to use
the add-on.  Read before jumping in, idiot!

I agree. I will make everyone a deal. If you can quote the section about
pauseing the game, I will send it to you.

Hate to burst your bubble here, but it's still piracy whether the
software is in production or not. That company still owns the copyright
to the software (it hasn't been over 25 years for it to expire), thus you
can't pirate it. It's like saying, "oh, the movie 'Star Wars' has been
out of production for quite a few years, so we can start giving away
copies of it that we recorded on our VCR." As you and I know, that's not
quite true. George Lucas and the distributor of that film will be on your
***faster than you can get that second or third copy out your door.

So, what you are doing is still piracy. I wouldn't do what you planned on
doing.

Ownership in the sense of the indy expansion pack moron! What a bunch of
horseshit!
Babble as much as you want to, but your still Captain Hook. Theres no
legitiment way
to distribute the indy track legally, without consent from the
designerer. I personally
dont give a damn who you send a copy to, but dont try to justify
stupidity.     -DG

This is very interesting indeed. I dont have to worry as I purchased
ICR1, ICR2 and Nascar and will purchase Nascar2 when available plus
all the expansion packs including Indianapolis. Now Indianapolis is
not in production and is not available to the public anymore.
Indianapolis is a track that everyone seems to want but cant buy.
Piracy is illegal but the temtation to get it by any means must be
hard to resist seeing that they know they cant get it legally. I dont
know if you were to write direct to the company if they would make a
copy up if it was requested. I presume they would. Know doubt I will
be corrected if that is not the case but how else are the people going
to obtain Indianapolis if the company dont make them up a copy.

lack of reguard to reality...

Last time I heard, the IMS add on for ICR1 is *still* available from the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum Gift Shop.  That is, it was last time I
heard which was around the time of the 500.

Told you before know need to insult smart mouth.

Dont cut the part of the text I wrote saying I could be wrong...!!!
The original message from some guy said that it was not in
production..!!!

Yes EXACTLLY. Last time you heard. Might not be the case now hey.
Tell me what is someone who does not live in the States going to do.
How do they get. If as you said "Last time I heard" it is at the
Indianaplois museum.
And you tell me I have a lack of reguard for reality. I think you need
to look at your self.
