Can Nascar Legends servers be run remotely, like GPL?  If so, maybe I can free
one up for you...

Should run exactly as N3.  Didn't you run that a time or two a while back?

Actually, didn't Papy use the GPL server code for NL, which was later
implemented to N3 in a patch ?

Getting old, memory fading....:-)

Heck no Goy... we only WISH we had multi-code as good as N3 in NL and
currently in N4.  GPL server code stinks remotely.

N4 was a step back from N3 and NL.

As Bill said, the N3/NL code was a fresh start from Papy.  I beleive
tho...they used the VROC stuff as a guide.  (don't want to start a copyright
infrigement thing tho)  Or at least they liked VROC and tried to implement
something similar.  The N3 patching process was very chaotic once the betas
got leaked.  Everytime they brought out another version of the patch, the
boards and newsgroups were flooded with cries to put the old version back.
A bunch of on-line leagues started using one version of the patch and had to
restart all their seasons because the final version was not compatible.
some folks also forgot to compare net performance with *** delays.  About
the time the patch process was winding down, one of those big virus' was
released...(I love you???  maybe that one)  So the whole internet is getting
bogged with viri and support emails and all that other junk...Because this
slowed down the whole net experience, the 'N3 users' started belly-aching
for previous patch versions.  Jog any of your memory?

I still need a server to race on. Eldred, every time I try to email you it
keeps putting the spam-off back on your email and sending it back to me? I
have the old Demons version that works with the legends so the server can be
set up to be ran remotely.
Thanks,
Gary C.

Nope, only getting confused.......back to Silverstone and my beloved
Holden Commodore, at least I can still remember how to drive, which
reminds me, is it left or right coming out of the pits there.....guess
I'll find out

Now, where's my car keys, oh that's right, racing cars don't use keys
