NT2003: Where's the Speedometer & Gear Indicator Switch ?

I've looked through the manual and I can't find out where you turn on the
Speedometer and Gear Indicator in the in-car view.

As shown in the pictures, the gear indicator should be within the Tach, and
the speedometer should be right below the tach.

Can't find it.

I also checked the player file, but it's not there either.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple :)

Apart from this userunfriendly feature, what's it like Larry? -I've been
trying to hunt down a demo on and off this afternoon and I've come up
blank... usually not a good sign.

I'm going to play around a bit more, then post my initial evaluation.

For now, I'll say some things are nice, some thing are lousy :)

I guess no one else knows how to turn on the speedo or gear indicator either
:)

I believe it is F4 turns on a little window with speed, gear, etc.

Alas, only in 'roof' mode.

It looks like when you drive in-car, you are not allowed to see what gear
you are in or what speed you are doing on the dashboard.

LOL!

Next time you get a chance to email a Winston Cup driver to ask a
question, ask any of them how fast they were going.  They won't know!
they'll be able to quote to the .tenth a lap time, they'll be able to
recite rev's...but how fast???   They just won't know.

But at least they'll be able to know what gear they're in at any given point
just by looking at the gear lever. NT2003 doesn't give that luxury. :-)

I have a terrible memory. In fact my memory's so bad I can't remember how
long it's been since I've forgotten anything.

Not really the point.  I just want what we have in NR2002 :)

Well, go play NR2002 and 2003 when it comes out. =)

Seems like the best alternative anyway.
