Well....because it was a red flag the guys could start on tere original
positions.

But the couldn't start in there own cars cause those were stalled in Loews
corner. That's why you see the marathon they are running to get in time to
there spare cars. Well BAR played it very smart from all of them and put
Villeneuve in the spare car while Zonta hoped into Villeneuve's car (Why???)
and both got on the start grid.

De La rosa came on time but to find out there was no spare car left (race
over) cause he crashed his own car already in the warm up. Heidfeld, Gene
and Button didn't get out of the pits with there spare car on time before
the pit exit was closed.

The worst of all was Wurz. He was already at the pits at the second start
(he was he cause of it) but with the red flag he didn't manage to get on
time out of the pits (he didn't participate at the Monaco marathon...so was
Bennetton sleeping?) And Wurz started from the pits too.

The way I understood it.......when the race started for the second time,
there were 2 cars that got into eachother. Then as a result of this, there
were an additional 3 or 4 cars who couldn't get around those 2 cars because
they were blocking the road. These 3 or 4 other drivers didn't crash or
stall, they actually turned their engines off because otherwise, the engines
would have overheated due to the fact that they were just sitting there.

Initially, Alan Jones (commentating here in Australia) said that because
this second red flag happened before 2 laps were complete, the rule is that
the driver who stalled on the first start, (and subsequently had to go to
the back of the grid on the second start), would now be allowed to go to his
normal box on the grid as well as these 2 drivers who got into eachother,
and also the 3 or 4 drivers who shut their engines off.

When we then came back from commercial, Alan was confused because he was
saying that now, they had changed their minds and someone ( either one
driver, or more, I can't remember who ), would have to start from the pits.
To quote Darryl Eastlake, the other commentator, it was a "Cock Up".

I checked my video tape, but the starts have been taped over so that's no
damn help.

Who actually started from the pits ?

The second red flag was NOT given because of the LOEWS incident.
Before Button and De La Rosa touched, the red flag had alreeady beeen given
because of computer failure.
