Any chance that N2 will release a patch to replace the Thunderbird with the
Taurus?  I guess they'll have to wait for the wind tunnel testing first.

Maybe a lot of people should go to Papyrus and ask them to produce one. The
problem is that I doubt we would ever see one for Nascar 2. The problem
with anyone else creating one is that I dont think anyone has enough
knowledge of the how to edit the physics of the car.

Usually Papyrus' stance on patches of this nature is that N2 is a
simulation of the 1986 season and any changes to anything other than
gameplay issues are up to us the consumer.

A Taurus template for Nascar 2 is available in the N2 utilities section
at Simulator ***world.  It is the fine work of Aaron Guenther.

Bart is probably more correct; no one has seen how the Taurus will
sort itself out in race trim. (And, we haven't seen how much spoiler,
fender width, etc, NASCAR will allow the Taurus to run.) Until these
things are more known, it's pretty damn difficult for Papyrus (or
anyone else) to tweak the physics to get it to be just about right...

And I'm guessing that someone out there has figured out how to modify
the physics of the car. (Given that I think that would be easier than
reverse engineering the .3dos was...)

I think that this is either a "hint" or a "challenge". . . Or both! Okay
boys (and girls) let's get working! ;-)

Have any teams (including Penske) even tested on the track yet?  Last
I heard they are a week or 2 away - maybe longer, I don't think
Winston Cup has an off week for the next 11 or so.  Probably be a long
time coming for any data to model from.

My opinion is that the Taurus is best left until N3, too many other
wishes for upgrades/patches for N2 - including NROS.

Sorry if this is off the topic of N2 and Taurus but, I saw the Taurus
racecar unveiled through Autoweek and... Despite being a loyal Ford fan,
I hate to say this,... it is really ugly! I'm starting to appreciate the
lines of the Monte Carlo now... the new racecar looks like a glorified
dodge neon.

If I understand it correctly, the performance of the cars in the game is a
fairly arbitrary representation of the real cars. They all have the same
drag coefficient, the only difference is the aerodynamic balance.
