NFSPU: can't use factory driver RS in tournament?

by mas.. » Sun, 23 Apr 2000 04:00:00

I'm trying to use my 2.7L Carrera RS won in Factory Driver mode in the
Evolution RS and/or mixed class Golden Era races.  The game lets me select the
car, but when I try to enter the race series', it says it doesn't meet the
req'ts.  Is everyone experiencing this?  Do I hace to buy an additional 2.7L
RS?

I had the same thing with the 2000 Turbo, so I guess you just can't use the
factory driver cars in evolution. Just buy another 2.7RS. Might even want to
buy more than one. They become really valuable later.

I think the problem is that the RS that you won during Factory mode is
not stock. It has engine and suspension mods that disqualify it from
the race you are trying to run. Yes, you will have to buy another one.

Those you won are not totally modified either. Largely though.

Since you could by a new one then fully upgrade it to race in
tournaments, I think the main reason is still they want you to spend
some of your hard-earned money.

It just goes to show that all software companies are in it for the money...
OUR money, to be precise.
