Hard Truck Demo - Has Anyone Gotten The D3D To Work??

Don't laugh!  I downloaded this demo this morning and it might be better
than you think.  It's a racing/simulation of semi tractors.  It's
obviously not as fast as most arcade racers and racing sims, but I found
it to actually be pretty fun, with pretty decent physics.  Racing in a
daytime t-storm is the best of all.
Only gripe I have is that I can't figure out how to run it in D3D, which
it supposedly supports.  The website and Help files are in German or

but I'd love to see it on my Voodoo 2.  It's hard for me to look at a
non-accelerated game anymore.
When it's first installed (I've reinstalled it trying to get this to
work) and run there is the clicking that the monitor does when switching
res or 3d cards, and then it just runs in software......when the game is
opened again it doesn't do this switching.....it just runs in software.

I've got it to work fine in D3D mode.  You just click on the button that
says accelerator under video mode and it should work fine.  It's pretty fun.
Definitely different.

Hi BC,

Get the demo from:

http://www.avault.com/pcrl/sims_racing_temp.asp?game=hardtruck&size=18.7

I liked the demo as well, too bad I only had 1/2 hour to play it.
It didn't give me enough time to try and haul some goods to make
a buck :)  I want to buy a fancy new rig :)

I found the frame-rate to be execellent on my P2/333 Monster1.
The "sense-of-speed" is good too.  Now if I could learn how to
shift one of these babies in manual, yee ha! :)

When browsing their website - there is no english :(
Does anyone know where english information - other than
reviews can be located?

Jason
