f1rs & f1rs2 $ improvement of problems & network

by dean » Sat, 07 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hi, I have f1rs and am wanting to buy f1rs2 because f1rs does not do
network play that well. So I want to know whether f1rs2 improves on any of
these aspects. Please note my experience of f1rs comes from my computer as
well as 3 friends computers all running the voodoo version so the following
problems I talk about are not isolated to my computer configuration and are
therefore software problems not hardware. F1rs has the following problems
in network play - no qualifying, practices etc...
,no replay, no pause function in the middle of a race, lag(jitter on all
other cars in the race including computer cars) even though the lan is
dedicated only to the game.
there are some general problems with f1rs too which I would want to see
fixed in f1rs, they are - frequent software crashes especially when setting
up a multiplayer game, also the engine sound sometimes disappears when the
race starts, and the options keep resetting and there is slow down on first
corner when there are lots of cars.

So to any of you guy's that are currently running the full version of f1rs2
I would really appreciate your comments.

see yah

MGPRS2 (or f1rs2) is no better than f1rs1 as far as network play is concerned.
The physics are, however, very much better. UbiSoft appear to be planning an
internet or equivalent fix for the game. Check out their site for details.
