Driver: pursuit mission editing help needed

The Pursuit game in Driver is by far my most popular sub-game (it's the ONLY
thing I like about the game! That's the real Driver movie stuff: trying to
hang on to another car. And everytime the car drives another route: real
great. It's much better that 'Lose the tail, because you'll be riding the
same circles before you know it and the borders of the maps become very
apparent. With Pursuit you never know where you'll end up!) Anyway, I'd like
to change some settings. I tried to do it with the Mission Editor, but I
can't figure it out. Maybe someone can help?

1. I'd like to be able to keep on following the car, even if it's completely
out of sight (even if he's on the other side of the map: I'd like to hunt
him down again after losing him, just as could happen in real life. Well...
in real movies :-).
2. Instead of keeping up with him for a certain time I want the mission only
to end after I really rammed him completely.

So for point 2 I have to get rid of the timer (that shouldn't be a problem,
I think) AND for point 1 I have to get rid of trigger that shows me the
'You've lost him' message and ends the mission. That last one is a problem.
What setting should I change to let the other car get away without ending
the mission? Or isn't this a setting in the .dms files but in another file?
Does the .dms file only trigger another file/script? That would be too bad,
because to me a Pursuit like described above, would be awesome...

I agree, it's the only missions I like also. I haven't been able to figure
out the editor either - every time I change anything the car I'm supposed to
chase disappears. Let's hope some clever soul can help out. Cheers, Andrew.

Did you already try to disable the
