I tried it, and took it off. WHY???

1) The Hercules .057 drivers are still the best (based on .048 ref driver),
and has the most options to tweak. It also is able to use that poweruser REG
entry, ALL CL drivers do not.

2) In the TOCA2 Demo, every Detonator driver I have tried, the dirt/grass on
the sides of the track bleeds over onto the asphalt badly. So bad in fact,
that at times it is hard to even see the turn coming up. Going back to any
.048 based driver and all is fine.

3) When in Viper Racing, I tested the benchmarks in the graphics setup - the
best with a Det was 48.6, but with the Herc .057 the lowest was 49.2, and
got up as high as 50.3.

Now on the good side, the CL Det drivers WAS able to play GPL in 800X600!
The NVidia Det was not able to go higher than 640X480 without a GPF. But
then I have no problems with the .048 drivers anyway.

So somehow, for some folks the Detonators work, and I'd say the CL ones are
the better ones (though missing all the tweaks that the NVidia drivers
have), but most like me, the .048 are the all around workable ones, and the
Hercules .057 are the best of them all.

I don't have a solution, but have ran into the same kinds of problems,
especially when you go to the various menu screens...

The text is fuzzy and a bit out of focus, almost as if it's in Standard VGA
mode or something.

I've also ran into the same problem with Collin McRae Rally, and F1RS...

F1RS has it even worse! The tires on the cars appear really fuzzy and
blurred.

I'm planning on going back to the .48 drivers unless you think I could use
the Herc drivers on my STB Velocity 4400 ?!?

System:

PII 266 (Intel)
Micronics LX440 MB
STB Velocity 4400 TNT
64 Meg SDRAM
Soundblaster AWE32
